Is there a nursing degree that you have to have your cosmetology liscense to do.maybe a cosmetic nurse?

    hallucination???? Maybe you can go to nursing home – and ask the old folks there if they wanted to be manicured for a fee!!!!

    Cosmetology and a nursing degree doesn’t go near each other. Even just a nurse aide doesn’t get near cosmetology – they are 2 different worlds.

    Although it is an interesting concept, unfortunately there is no such thing. Yet i can tell you bring an RN myself that we could use more beauty in the hospital. I know many patients would love someone to just come around and comb their hair, or do their nails. Maybe there is room in the nursing field for something like this.

    In all due respect to my previous posters, your friend was ALMOST correct.

    She is probably referring to RN’s that work for plastic surgeons. However, none of those RN’s have cosmetology licenses, because they are not needed. They do botox injections, laser treatments, things like that, and are generally trained by the plastic surgeon.

    You still have to go to nursing school and either get your ADN or your BSN first.
